It was preceded by the Mornington Road Board. The records include minutes (1877-1915), outward correspondence (1866-1877, 1900-1916), burgess and valuation rolls, ratebooks (1876-1889, 1905-1908, 1911-1915), financial records (1910-1916) and agreements (1879-1916). There are also some minutes, correspondence and ratebooks of the Mornington Road Board. The Council owned and operated the Mornington cable car line from 1903 to 1915. Search
